Need to move your body? Need to stretch and build your strength back after becoming a mother? Maybe you want to connect more with other mums. Or do you just need a different social outlet? Whatever your reasons, Earth Mother Yoga caters for every ability. Yoga classes for mums and children are ideal for returning to yoga mums or total beginner yogi’s.
A typical session involves seated poses, standing poses and laying down poses. The use of yoga props such as bolsters and blocks really help to support your body. There are no level 2 yoga poses.
Breathing techniques are incorporated throughout the classes. Learn how breathing works & how the breath can calm you down. Even how it can be a game changer for the many experiences you encounter in your day to day.
There will be short bursts of relaxation & meditation. As much as possible with children in the room!
While you are moving through your yoga practice, babies, toddlers & preschoolers will be right by your side. Toddler yoga mats are provided & placed next to your mat. Children are free to roam & join in. During the hour, children will have the opportunity to engage in their own version of yoga. Be prepared for a few animal noises as we hiss in our cobra pose or woof in our dog pose!
Sessions run from 10-11am during school term times only.
